ZSCMST holds Development in Administrative Proceedings and Disciplinary Measures forum PDF Print E-mail

Through the initiative of Dr. MilavelDepacaquivo-Nazario, the College President of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences andTechnology, a forum on Development in Administrative Proceedings and Administrative Disciplinary Measures was hosted by the Graduate School, College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and the Social Science Club last March 28, 2014 at the College  Audio-Visual Room. Resource Speakers were from the Office of the Solicitor General : Justice Renan E. Ramos, Assistant Solicitor General who discussed on Administrative Proceedings; Atty. Roel Vincent G. Castro, State Solicitor and Atty. Ma. Teresa Ana V. Bermejo-Billones, Associate  Solicitor III conversed on Administrative Disciplinary Measures, a workshop followed  after the presentation.

The half day forum turned out to be successful since all the participants involved themselves and took part in the brainstorming and  group presentation.  It was attended by private and government agencies like : Technical Education and Skills Development  Authority (TESDA), Department of Tourism, Pag-Ibig Fund, Zamboanga City Police Office, Department of Budget and Management, Civil Service Commission, Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, City Prosecutors Office, Bureau of Fiure Protection, Department of Agriculture, Office of Muslim Affairs, Philippine Coastguard, Department of Science and Technology, Mein College, Universidad de Zamboanga, Southern City Colleges, Bureau of Internal Revenue,  Western Mindanao State University, PhilHealth, Department of Social Welfare and Development and National Food Authority.

The purposes of the forum were:  to provide a venue for discussion of issues and developments in administrative proceedings and disciplinary measures; disseminate best practices in administration cases; and promote higher degree of professionalism in public service.

The forum was the first ever hosted by  Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology  and the same  forum is designed to be conducted in the future to accommodate a bigger number of participants. Kudos ZSCMST!
