The Bakong Elementary School (BES) in Sinunul, Tawi-Tawi elected its set of officers among its pupils last July 7.

In a field of 184 kindergarten up to Grade VI pupils who voted, for president, Jehanna Tricia Abbas Paslangan won handily by a landslide with 95 votes over her two rivals Althea Elcaner who garnered 47votes and Pamela Yap with 42 drop in the bucket votes.

Other winners are: Vice President — Michelle Juhan; Secretary — Shahira Yahiya’ Treasurer — Rozalia Columbres;  P.I.O. — Shadara Bayting; Auditor — Madzurin Abidin; Peace Officer — Abdulalim Abdulhakim; Business Manager — Sitti Hapija Dolben; Muse — Fatima Fatmada Ignacio and Escort — Alwalid Rajam.

The School Principal, Miss Sarima Jakaria, aside from being one of the youngest School Principals in the Division of Tawi-Tawi, is likewise known widely for her honesty, truthfulness, fairness, integrity and dedication to service.

The Principal said that last Monday’s election was a trial balloon to test the honesty and integrity of the teachers who conducted the elections and the pupils who are the flag bearers of future generation. Everything considered the election was honest, peaceful and credible.
