ZCWD holds orientation on Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and water conservation PDF Print E-mail

The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), as part of its corporate social responsibility program and consistent with Board Resolution No. 236 dated November 25, 2011, conducted an orientation on Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and water conservation at Buenakapok Elementary School at Sitio Buenakapok in Barangay Lanzones, this City on July 31, 2014 at 9:00 AM.

This activity was attended by more or less 150 participants comprising of the principal, teachers, Kinder 1 to Grade 6 students, and some parents.

The main objective of the WASH orientation is to assist the communities through proper dissemination of information on health and nutrition, environment, water sanitation and responsible hygiene practices, among others, with the end view that educating the public would translate to enabling awareness in maintaining a healthy environment as contribution to overall progress and development.

On top of the foregoing topics, the participants were likewise briefed by ZCWD personnel on the Agency’s water sources and its treatment and water conservation tips.
