PAZ inducts new officers PDF Print E-mail

The Pangasinan Association of Zamboanga (PAZ) recently held the induction rites of its new set of officers for the year 2014-2015 at the Lotus  Ballroom Grand Astoria Hotel, August 16, 2014.

Elmerado L. Viernes, Sr., an active civic and religious leader and former military dental officer of South West Command is the new President of PAZ , with Felix Alimorong as Vice-President and long-serving Secretary of the association Alejandro C. Navato.

The other inducted officers are Annie de Leon — Treasurer, Corazon Soliven — Asst Treasurer, Obidio Valdez — Business Manager, Juanito Agsaoal — Auditor, Ruby Cabanting — Asst Auditor, Feliciano Tagulao — P.I.O. and Protocol Officers Willie Parajas, Joseph de Guzman and Reynaldo Macaranas with Immediate Past President Josephine Bensali.

Hon. Armando C. Domantay, Sr. Mayor of Malasiqui, Pangasinan, came all the way to induct the officers and as Guest of Honor and Speaker  for the 31st Anniversary and induction Ceremony.

In his message, Domantay praised his province mates and optimistic that PAZ will mark a name in Zamboanga City. He called on the Pangasinenses to practice good values and be a model Filipino in the city.

Mayor Domantay started his political career as a barangay councilor and later elected as three-term councilor, three-term vice-mayor and now on his last term as a three-termer mayor of his town.

The Pangansinan mayor was proud to report to his province mates of the farm-to-market roads, connecting all 73 barangays and as an awardee of Zeal of Good Governance on transparency.

Meantime, Mayor Ma Isabelle Garcia Climaco-Salazar also graced the occasion and offered flowers to the association’s Patroness Saint, Our Lady of Manaoag and congratulated the new set of officers and thanking the group for their contribution during the 2013 siege. — Danny Macansantos
