September is Science Month for the Department of Education. There are lots of activities at stake to make the activity worth to be celebrated for. Last September 12, 2014, 11 schools under Putik District gathered at Putik Central School to celebrate the Science Month with Science Quest Activity. Different competitions were prepared for the school children such as, Best Yell, Science Quiz Bee, Poster Making, Painting, Sci Journal, Sci Dama, and Collage Contest.

Zambowood Elementary School had prepared much to join the different competitions; the coaches were really extending time to train their pupils to be competent for the activity. They even went home late just to give the best for the participant. The Science Quest at Putik went smoothly as the coordinators of Science were really organized with their activities. As a result to this, ZES was awarded with “The Most Colorful Group” for wearing colorful mask with and carrying colorful pompoms. Gazzi Saclote won as champion for the Grade 4 Quiz Bee with his coach Katherine B. Betongga, Luzminda M. Bolay – og won in the Poster Making Contest 1st Place for  teacher category, Hydia Bayawa also won as 1st Place in Poster Making Contest for Grade 5 coached by Lany S. Llamera, Charm Klier Castromayor, 2nd placer in the Poster Making Contest for the Grade 6, coached by Eldie P. Aldeon and Zarina Orquia, Jana Barrios also won 2nd place in the Sci Journal competition for the Grade 6, and Nina Mae Chang 3rd placer in the Sci Journal Competition for Grade 5, coached by yours truly, Liean Fernandez also won as 3rd placer for Collage Making Contest, coached by Vilma C. Bazan.

It was a good day for the school bringing the honor for competing well during the said activity. The principal, Floriano D. Lumagbas Jr. was really happy seeing his pupils and teacher happy receiving the awards on stage.
