101st Brigade holds Testimonial Parade in honor of Labason Mayor Quimbo PDF Print E-mail

The 101st Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, of the Philippine Army led by its Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Apolinario Alobba held a testimonial parade and review in honor of Mayor Eddie T. Quimbo last November 4, 2014, at the 101st Infantry Brigade Headquarter, Barangay Del Pilar, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, for his strong support and  contribution to the various programs of the Philippine Army in the achievement of peace and order in the Municipality of Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

The testimonial parade was attended by the Officers and enlisted-men of the 101st Infantry Brigade along with First Lady Dahlia T. Quimbo and the Labason LGU employees.

Gen. Alobba appreciated Mayor Quimbo’s exemplary work performance as Municipal Mayor of Labason, wherein he delivers various infrastructure projects and extend medical outreach program in the locality that greatly contribute to the general welfare of its populace.

Gen. Alobba stressed that the people of Labason are very lucky for electing  Mayor Quimbo as their local chief executive, considering that he is a project oriented person whose primary concern is the development and progress of his beloved town.

Alobba pointed out that since Mayor Quimbo assumed office on July 1, 2013, there have been many reforms and development introduced by him as compared to the previous administration. In fact, the people residing in this place were now politically, socially and economically uplifted of their  living condition.

Gen. Alobba further  stressed that the Armed Forces of the Philippines also expressed their heartfelt thanks and appreciations to Labason LGU under the auspices of  Mayor Quimbo and the Labason Municipal Police Office for their collaborative efforts in the maintenance of peace and order in the Municipality of Labason.

The testimonial parade and review is the AFP’s way of recognizing a person for his achievement as good public servant and  for his all-out support to the Armed Forces of the Philipines program.

In his message, Mayor Quimbo, in turn, expressed thanks and appreciation to the Philippine Army particularly the 101st Infantry Brigade led by its Brigade Commander Brigadier General Apolinario Alobba and the 10th Infantry Battalion led by its Batallion Commander Lt. Col. Leonil Nicolas, which was  stationed at Barangay Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte  , for their presence in their effort in the preservation of peace and order in the municipality as well as in the entire Province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Mayor Quimbo stressed that he was so glad and happy in receiving such prestige honor because in his entire  career as businessman in Labason, he has never been accorded with a military honor.

Labason is 175 kilometers away from the Municipality of Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, which is under the area of command responsibility of 101st Infantry Brigade, 1st  Infantry Division, Philippine Army based at Barangay del Pilar, Piñan, this province.
