Barangay Sta. Maria, one of the most populated village in this city, has allocated P1 million for the installation of security cameras.

Barangay Sta. Maria is located 3.19 kilometers north of this city with a population of 21,432.

Sta. Maria Barangay Chairman Abraham Tan said Monday that 56 closed-circuit television cameras (CCTVs) will be installed in strategic places.

Tan said the installation of the CCTVs is aimed at helping the police in the prevention, as well as crime solution.

Tan said the CCTVs will be installed early next year in the different areas of the barangay.

The barangay of Sta. Maria will be the first among this city’s 98 villages to install CCTVs once the project pushes through, he said. — RGAAG
