According to the United Nations World Food Programme, millions of school age children go hungry every day.

Evidently, there is a need to reduce hunger while increasing school enrolment in these children. Thus, school feeding programs have been developed to target this multifaceted problem.

Zamboanga City High School, of course, with the leadership of the dynamic Principal,Mr. Jesus C. Solon together with the Head Teacher of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE), has looked into a natural and convenient setting in the implementation of health and education interventions.

Currently this school year, ZCHS feeding program as one facet of school health initiatives, has successfully shown a significant increase in the educational and nutritional status and directly addressed of reducing hunger among the recipient students.
