> Mayor Beng Climaco has intervened to ensure that teachers hired through the Local School Board (LSB) will get their salaries the soonest possible time. The 29 LSB teachers (11 high school and 18 elementary) can collect salaries starting Monday, January 19 even if the LSB has yet to meet.

> Due to the forthcoming special Sangguniang Kabataan elections on Feb. 21, 2015, election ban is in effect Jan. 22 to March 2, 2015, thus, issuance of appointments, promotions, creation of new positions, or giving of salary increases in government offices, agencies or instrumentalities are prohibited. Submission of application letters will be entertained after the expiration of the election ban.

> Four farm-to-market roads worth P16.52 million in Latuan were inaugurated and turned over to barangay officials in the area Thursday afternoon (Jan. 15).

> Qualified internally displaced persons (IDPs) are encouraged to register for orientation on job positions in canning factories. Registration papers can be secured from camp managers in transitory sites or at the PESO office in Pettit Barracks. Hiring starts February.
