Ø Some 400 residents of Tigbalabag availed of the Dia de Alcalde, an outreach program offering free medical and dental and other frontline services. Personally spearheaded by Mayor Beng Climaco, the program is in line with the thrust to bring the government closer to the people and is held in barangays in line with fiesta celebrations.

Ø The City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) will meet at 3:30pm Friday, February 5, 2015 to discuss prevailing issues concerning the city’s security.

Ø Mayor Climaco administered the oath of office of Rodolfo L. Salvador, a retired policeman as the new barangay kagawad of Zone III, vice Esther Orendain who resigned from office effective January 12, 2015.

Ø The Local School Board in a meeting today threshed out measures to facilitate the easy release of salaries and allowance of LSB-hired teachers in the succeeding months. Issues about the transport of island teachers to their assigned schools were also tackled.
