Congressman Celso Lobregat of District 1 on Saturday graced the celebration of Dia de Vitali, as he commended the efforts of  barangay officials in advancing growth and development in the far-flung village of Vitali.

During his term as mayor for three terms (2004-2013) Lobregat continuously nurtured and supported the barangays particularly Vitali by infusing millions worth of infrastructure projects for the benefit of the constituents.

Lobregat together with Councilor Charlie Mariano and former councilor Rey Candido were warmly welcomed by Vitali residents led by Chairman Lito Alavar who also thanked the congressman for continuously showing concern to his barangay and particularly for his personal presence in the Dia de Vitali celebration.

The congressman attended the different activities lined up by the barangay for the celebration that kicked off with a mass officiated by Fr. Jonathan Berdejo.

Lobregat said Barangay Vitali has improved a lot citing the residents’ resiliency and unity.

Even as congressman, he said, he continues to make the barangays not only in District 1 but also in District II as a priority through continuous implementation of projects and programs to ameliorate the plight of the barangay folk. — Jubels  Santos
