The Sangali National High School (SNHS) conducted a one-day In-Service Training (INSET) last June 3, 2011 at the Agape Building, SNHS Campus, this city.
The seminar was conducted with the aim of enhancing more the teacher’s dedication and commitment in the field of teaching, remind them of some of the existing laws that govern and affect the teaching profession and further develop cooperation and harmonious relationship among the school internal stakeholders. It was energetically participated by all of the SNHS faculty members.

The lectures on the Code of Ethics for Teachers was presented and expounded by the SNHS Principal, Mrs. Elena F. Balan and the session about Sexual Harassment was discussed by Mrs. Catherine B. Felix, the designated School Guidance Coordinator.

The team from Peace Advocates Zamboanga (PAZ) headed by Sr. Emma Delgado, PAZ Executive Secretary also imparted very interesting topics. Sr. Emma gave the overview on the history of the inclusion of SNHS in PAZ.

Mr. Aldrin Abdurahim of the Interreligious Solidarity Movement for Peace (IRSMP), tackled about Team Building: Orientation to Peace. Questions and answers were raised and group sensitivity game was conducted leading to the sub-topic about Pathways to Peace.

Miss Arweda Jalilul, Peace Education Coordinator, introduced the Peace Education Advocacy to Partner Schools Framework: Institutionalizing “ Executive Order 570" Peace Education in Basic Education and Teachers Education. Mr. Jupiter Pollisco, Junior Project Coordinator, presented about the Peace and Governance in Mindanao (PGM) as SNHS is one of the three pilot secondary schools in Zamboanga City in this program. --ELENA F.
