44th IB opens 4 classes of ALPS program in Sirawai PDF Print E-mail

SIRAWAI – The Army’s 44th Infantry (Agile N’ Stable) Battalion, 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, in collaboration with the Department of Education (Dep Ed), successfully opened four classes of Army Literacy Patrol System (ALPS) Program in Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

Actually, the 44th IB has already completed a total of six classes of ALPS Program for the first semester of this year as conducted by the following units, to wit;  Headquarters Company ALPS Program in Brgy. Catuyan and Brgy. Bitugan of Sirawai, ZDN last April and June 2011; Alpha Company ALPS Program in Brgy. Sto Niño and Sitio Nasal, Brgy. Puliran of Sibuco, ZDN last February and July 2011; Bravo Company ALPS Program in Sitio Busicong, Brgy. Sta. Maria, Siocon, ZDN last May, 2011; and Charlie Company ALPS Program in Brgy. New Salvacion, Labason, ZDN last July 2011. 

As a continuing commitment of 44th IB in pursuing development in its area of operation, the focused ALPS programs in Zamboanga del Norte were opened in the four barangays of Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

In Brgy. Balubuan, Sirawai, with the active participation of Brgy Chairman. Bobong Manangca, the 44th IB ALPS program was successfully opened at 8:30 a.m. on August 13, 2011 and participated in by 35 ALPS students/learners.

In Brgy. Panabutan and Sitio Lote, Brgy. Saint Mary, Sirawai, ZDN with the lively involvement of Maeng Mustafa, Brgy. Chairman, Brgy. Panabutan, Sirawai, and Jemelyn Quintana, Brgy. Chairwoman,  Brgy. Saint Mary, Sirawai,  the Joint opening ceremony of ALPS program held at Islamic School, Sirawai, was successfully opened about 11 a.m. of August 13, 2011 participated in by f56 students/learners.

In Brgy. San Vicente, Sirawai, the 44th IB ALPS program held at Sirawai Central School was successfully opened at 8 a.m. on August 17, 2011 participated in by 26 students/learners.

A total of 117 students/learners of 44th IB ALPS program received their school supplies, such as; one pencil, one eraser, one sharpener, one pad grade-1 writing paper, one notebook and one plastic envelop.  These school supplies were given free and provided by the active commander of 44th IB Lt. Col. Alex S. Rillera.
