Sitel, a leading business process outsource (BPO) provider, has announced it is hiring 4,000 fresh graduates and experienced professionals to provide services for newly acquired clients and growing existing accounts.

The new hires will also provide support to existing clients who want to expand their customer service requirements.

“Despite the economic downturn, Sitel has posted an increase in revenue and clients in 2010 which enabled the company to hire more people. We have new clients who went onboard this year and many of our existing clients have grown their businesses with us,” said Sitel recruitment director Joan Laquindanum.

The 4,000 job opportunities are available among various Sitel sites in Manila and Baguio.

Most of these hires will be assigned to various sales and technology accounts who have chosen to grow their business with Sitel.

However, the company still looks forward to providing more job opportunities for Filipinos in the future as it expands. Sitel is notably a leading BPO company in the Philippines and the biggest employer in Baguio City.

“The contact center industry continues to generate jobs for the Filipinos and currently employs more than 500,000. We are doing our share in generating needed jobs to fuel the Philippine economy and develop local talents into world-class professionals,” Laquindanum said.

Sitel attracts new and retains its current clients because of the quality service it provides.

In April 2010, Sitel was named Outstanding Employer in the Large Enterprise category by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority. It was also awarded as one of the “Top Call Center and Customer Management Vendors” and “Top BPO Vendors” in the prestigious Global Services 100 Survey by the Global Services magazine in the U.S.

Locally, Sitel draws new and keeps its current associates with attractive compensation and benefits package. It also has its own in-house pharmacies where associates can order their medicine and supplements at a non-cash basis.

“Our associates enjoy generous leaves entitlements, health, life, bereavement and retirement insurance plans. For example, our bereavement benefits are extended to all family members of associates, considered the first in the industry. As we continue to grow, giving only the best to our associates is a welcome challenge for Sitel,” Laquindanum said.

Sitel is the leading business process outsourcing (BPO) call center provider; as ranked by the Black Book of Outsourcing, a Datamonitor company.

Sitel’s 52,000 associates provide clients with predictable and measurable return on their customer investment by building customer loyalty, increasing sales and improving efficiency.

Sitel’s customer interaction outsourcing solutions span 135 domestic, nearshore, and offshore call centers in 26 countries across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

The company is privately held and majority owned by Canadian diversified company, Onex Corporation.
