Highly fancied Otravez LMC, both men and ladies, showed the way as they stamped their class over respective rivals in the finals to rule the recently concluded 3rd Lepeng Wee Cup Five Men and Ladies Open Invitational Bowling Tournament held at  Tebi and Sean Recreational Bowling Center on Gov. Camins Ave., this city.

Displaying tough form and precision, LMC led by Romeo “Bong” Tan and playing team manager Luis M. Climaco outscored crown pretender Golden Horse NAC skippered by Roseller “Dodong” Arancon.

LMC topped the eliminations in a field of 27 to gain the twice to beat advantage in the up-the-ladder encounter. However there was no need for the eventual champion to go the distance as the title showdown was settled right on the first game.

Providing support to Tan in LMC’s title quest were Abs Punto, Bulletde Asis, Mart Campos and Boy Palacat.

In arranging the final encounter, Golden Horse, composed of aside Arancon were Nadz Balahim, Sidney Gonzales, Lino Dagupan, Jef Filoteo and Manuel Co, defeated Junie Ascaño and Bong Alvarez starred RN-1.

The event was hosted for the tourney sponsor and b-day celebrant Businessman Lepeng Wee by the Zamboanga Bowlers Association or ZAMBA headed by former city dad Atty. Luis M. Climaco.

On the distaff side the trio of Supreme Balahim, Mila Wong-Yat and G.V. Jailani defeated the Ana Labad led Firefly in the finals to ensure double victory for the triumphant LMC in the tourney that saw eight teams contesting for the ladies crown.

For the team and individual honors, LMC’S both men and ladies took the highest team score, Bong Tan annexed both highest average andhighest single while Jhong Silva of RN-1 the highest pinning.

Likewise Mila Wong-Yat had the highest average, Doris Gonzales (JED) highest single and Gloria Daylo (Mixed Nut) highest pinning. — LE
