Everyone was awed by her beauty as she entered the majestic Astoria Plaza of Grand Astoria Hotel last October 22. Statuesque, bearing a beauty queen aura, and very regal in her free flowing white long gown, the fair skin Paola Mae Wee Lim stood tall that night among all the candidates as she was crowned as Miss Red Cross Zamboanga City 2010.

Aside from this coveted title, the gorgeous 18 years old nursing student of Ateneo de Zamboanga University also won as Miss Photogenic, Best in Sportswear, Best in Cocktail Dress, and the Miss Biocare 2010 that evening.  She will reign one year and will represent the local chapter of Zamboanga Red Cross as the Ambassadress of Goodwill. A beauty connoisseur said Miss Lim deserves the crown. She believes that Paola Mae has the big chance to win a beauty national title in prestigious national and international beauty pageants.

The annual Miss Red Cross is a popular  beauty search that has produced many celebrated beauty queens in the past who later became successful in their chosen careers. The candidates are well screen and pre-selected by a discriminating panel of judges.
