LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies…” (Psalm 5:0, the Holy Bible).

CLARIFICATIONS PLEASE, SMART COMMUNICATIONS: Smart Communications, please clarify: your unlimited call and text promo is supposed to be unlimited in calls and text messages for the days that the consumer enrolled in, right? Tell me then: why is it that, after using the unlimited promo for only 30 minutes, it can no longer be used, and the consumer has to wait for about two to three hours before he can avail of it again?

ECONOMY FALLING DOWN DUE TO UNDERSPENDING AGAIN: Once more, this time with feelings: the economy is not moving forward, for 2014, as President Aquino’s government envisioned it to be at 6.5% to 7.5%, all because it is once again collecting government funds, not spending them on designated projects once again. Chief economist Emilio Neri Jr. of the Bank of the Philippine Islands said that because of what Aquino is doing, economic growth will only be at 5.7%.

So, the question remains: why is President Aquino not spending government funds for the projects or programs they were intended for in the national budget? Why is he collecting these funds and not pursuing the projects or programs they were meant for? To convert them as “savings”, so he can spend them for projects that would benefit his allies in preparation for 2016?

“NO MORE SECOND TERM FOR PNOY!” This maybe one big reason why our listeners at the program “Tambalang Batas at Somintac” (aired Mondays to Fridays at 6 am to 7 am, over radio station DZEC, 1062 kHz) on Monday, August 04, 2014, voted in response to a survey question that they strongly oppose any second term for President Aquino.

The score, reflecting our listeners’ sentiments on the question “do you favor a second term for President Aquino”, was 100-0, with 100 percent of the respondents saying enough is enough for Aquino, and that in view of the many debacles and failures of his government, it would not only be good not to give him a second term but a lot better if he is kicked out right now.

DZEC Malacanang reporter Vic Somintac and I co-anchor that program, and it has become a venue for many ordinary citizens to air their real sentiments about what is happening in the Philippines under the Aquino government. The views of our listeners, read directly by Vic once they come in, represent an unexpurgated assessment of the true State of the Nation.

EBOLA PREDICTED BY THE BIBLE: The ebola virus is striking deep fear among many health authorities, not only in Africa and its neighboring continents, but even in the whole world. The fear arises from its deadly nature—it is a killer disease. But, it was not unexpected, as the Bible warned about such a kind of a disease in its Book of Curses in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 coming to a people who no longer listen to God and who no longer obey His commands.

POISON ISSUES WITH NFA IMPORTED RICE: So, okay, the National Food Authority has made available some P10 billion to buy rice from our neighboring countries, to beef up the Philippine’s dwindling supply of rice. This is fine, but can NFA bosses tell us if they are doing something about the warning that much of this imported rice is poisonous because they contain arsenic? Or, the NFA just wants to import rice and feed it to the people, never mind the arsenic?

LIES IN 5TH SONA? Was the President’s “disbursement acceleration program” or DAP really used for the technical education of Jonalyn Navarosa, the woman featured in Aquino’s 5th State of the Nation Address as having benefitted from DAP because her education at TESDA (or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) was paid for by it? Is it true that Navarosa studied at TESDA during the term of President Arroyo, and not during Aquino’s presidency? Lies, lies, lies…
