Cockpit ‘cristo’ shot dead PDF Print E-mail

A cockpit gaffer (cristo) was shot dead by a gunman at Sitio Talungun, San Roque last Sunday night.

The fatality was identified as Owen Malik, 35, married, of San Roque. He sustained a bullet wound at the back of the head and was rushed to the hospital where he expired.

A police report disclosed that Malik, his brother and some companions had just come from the cockpit in San Roque and were waiting for a ride, when a gunman appeared and shot him in the head around 7 p.m.

The gunman disappeared amid the crowd while the victim was taken to the hospital.

DZT gathered that two unidentified men have been tailing Malik several days before the gun attack.

It was learned that Malik had been receiving death threats from unidentified men.
