Being a housewife isn’t easy. My head is full of the daily chores at home (Athink tank). I just don’t leave our helpers to do all the work, as I don’t only supervise, but also help. The male acts as a caregiver, attending  to my husband’s needs, and the female helper helps me do house chores, and do the laundry everyday which is usually around 4 to 6 clothes only as it’s only me and my hubby she serves and also cooks for us.  The male helper helps clean our lawn too if he isn’t busy. If I am not busy, I find time to write my column like this Sunday morning.  A happy Sunday to all of you!

If our weather allows it, I’ll be flying to Manila tomorrow morning to be with my daughter Angel, who will be undergoing an operation at St. Luke Hospital for multiple myoma on the 10th. She has been suffering from bleeding and getting weaker, the reason for the operation.  May I request for prayers for her safe and successful operation. Thanks in advance!

Too early to talk about politics, but it seems it’s already in the air, and as much as it’s already being discussed in newspapers and broadcast talk shows, allow me to comment too.  Quite a number of names are already being mentioned, like VP Jejomar Binay, DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, Sen. Allan Cayetano, Sen. Bongbong Marcos, Sen. Antonio Trillanes, Sen. Grace Poe. And Sen. Chiz Escudero. It’s been said that if there’s no strong candidate to run against VP Binay, he will win! I doubt this very much, unless he clears himself in the Blue Ribbon Committee hearing in Senate. People want him to clear his name from all the accusations against him. Non appearance means he is guilty! It is a shallow reason to say that he is already prejudged by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee. This is the reason why it is important for him to answer all the accusations, instead of avoiding attending the Senate Hearing.

DILG Sec. Mar Roxas should be the standard bearer of the Liberal Party. If you can remember, he gave in to President Noynoy Aquino and ran as Vice President instead. This time, I guess, it is his turn to run for President, win or lose! He is a soft spoken person, humble, and good. Only the opposition makes him bad in the eyes of the people.  Sen. Allan Cayetano is also a good material for President.  He is a person with a strong personality and a good lawyer too, who I think can’t be dictated upon. Sen. Bongbong Marcos will also make a good President, but he has to cross bridges to be able to make it up there. His father was a good and brilliant President, if only he was left alone by the former first lady, Imelda Marcos.  It’s too early for Sen. Trillanes  and Sen. Grace Poe to run as Vice President, nor for President. In the case of Grace Poe, she’s still inexperienced. Personally, I want a President who can decide on his or her own! A President who has backbones! Sen. Chiz Escudero can also make a good President. Actress Heart Evangelista won’t be a hindrance to his being a politician. In fact as an actress, she is an ace in his political career. You may agree or not, but this is my personal opinion.

Talking about the weather, we’re lucky that our beloved City is spared from typhoon Ruby. It’s a pity because cities that had been ravaged by typhoon Yolanda are again within the path of typhoon Ruby. Let’s all pray for the safety of all inhabitants. May the Almighty God keep them all safe from danger!
