LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…At that time Jesus said, `I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children’...” (Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, in Matthew 11:25, the Holy Bible).

I SIGNED ONLINE PETITION VS. SMARTMATIC: Here’s a private message I received before the Christmas rush at my Facebook account (Melanio Lazo Mauricio Jr.) from automated election expert Prof. Nelson Celis, asking me to sign an online petition seeking the disqualification of Smartmatic, Inc. from any Philippine government procurement contracts. Read on:

“Dear Sir Melanio! Let’s not outsource our sovereignty! It is very clear that our 1987 Constitution, in (its) Article II, Section 1, declares that `The Philippines is a democratic and republican State. Sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them.’

“But how can we assert our sovereignty when our true will was not reflected in the 2010 and 2013 elections because of `Hocus-PCOS’? What’s in store for us Filipinos in 2016? Join the growing number of online supporters by signing this petition:

“Let’s join hands para sa Inang Bayan! Please pass also and let’s all be vigilant. Maligayang Pasko at Salamat po!”

For the information of everyone, I signed that petition. I believe that everyone who cares for this country should sign the petition. There is now an increasing evidence of electoral fraud, even in the election that supposedly voted Benigno Aquino III into the presidency in 2010. We should take action now, or have another president who will merely be voted by the PCOS (precinct count optical scan) machines in 2016.

FIL-AM URGES PNOY TO ENSURE HONEST 2016 POLLS: Dr. Gregorio T. Mariano Jr., a Filipino-American doctor who is now based in Pennsylvania, USA, raised the same concerns in an online letter to President Aquino. Mariano is a province mate of President Aquino, since he comes from the little-known town of Ramos, at the northeastern side of Tarlac. His letter follows:

“Dear President Aquino: Please consider assigning someone or even creating a committee consisting of either government employees or private organizations or institutions to thoroughly dissect the statements in this article written by veteran IT expert and former Comelec Commissioner Augusto Lagman which I have copied below.

“We need to have an accountable and transparent election in 2016 so that the results are indisputably the will of the people and finally no one will have any basis for any allegation of any form of election irregularity/fraud. This will also ensure that your policy of `daang matuwid’ and `kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap’ will be preserved and continued for generations to come.

“Thank you very much for your attention and kind consideration.”
