“ Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. — Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Have faith in God.” For some of us, these words are easier said than done. When things are going smoothly the way you want it to be, then, yes – your faith is steadfast, yet the moment things go bad and your life seems to be a continuous flow of difficulties, problems, blocks and hurdles – then, your faith slowly fades away.

To have faith in God means being faithful to Him through thick and thin – in good times and in bad times. You cannot say that your faith in your God is unwavering if you question Him the moment you are down and things go wrong one after another. Many times we fail to see or acknowledge that He gives us these struggles and trials to test how strong our faith in Him is. Is it tough and unrelenting or is it easily broken down and gets tired of struggling when things go rough and seems to be unending.

As a wife, mother an employee, a friend, an individual – I have and still keep on fighting up the odds life keeps throwing at me, but never have I given up hope because my faith doesn’t waver – the more stumbling blocks and difficulties, the more inflexible and unbendable it becomes for me, because I know that faith is my only chance to survive every trial I encounter – and never have I questioned Him for my failures, trials and other obstacles in life.  What about you?

Having faith believes in something you never even have tangible proofs exists. It is a gamble you have to take and keep hanging on unto the end. It is something your heart feels within, telling you that everything will be okay soon. It is your TRUST in your God that He will always be there for you no matter what.

You may have questioned God at one time in your life, and it is but normal. Trusting God is not an easy thing to do because having faith in Him means surrendering  everything you have – ideas, dreams, hopes, desires, ambitions, your future  and leaving Him to make the choice.

Having faith means believing with strong conviction no matter what the odds maybe.”—Grace 2015
