TICKLE ME PINK: Power and greed PDF Print E-mail

Power and greed go hand in hand! I am saying this because I noticed that once people experience sitting down in high position, It’s hard for them to relinquish it, and more or less, “greed” is the answer to it!

One such example is the present situation at the Makati City Hall, where the Mayor, Junjun Binay,  was suspended for six months by the Dept. of Justice on corruption charges relative to the alleged over pricing of the Makati Building and Parking Space, and who wouldn’t want to vacate his position as the temporary designated Mayor. I guess, if there were no sufficient evidences, DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, and DOJ Sec. De Lima wouldn’t have reasons to suspend him.

Since from the beginning of this casem, I’ve been watching and listening to all the allegations of corruption that have presented at the Makati City Hall as witnesses have been coming out, testifying on all the corrupt  practices allegedly committed by father and son! The number 1 witness is the former Vice Mayor of Makati, Mr. Mercado.  If there was no truth to the accusations of corruption, they can easily attend the Senate’s Blue Committee hearings, but sad to say, father and son refuse to do so. Can’t blame people to conclude that with the refusal to attend the hearing in the Senate, means they’re guilty! Vice-President Jejomar Binay and his family always reason out that it’s politically motivated!

The Vice President always said he came from a poor family, and so I think this is the reason why it’s driving him to commit all the alleged corrupt practices. Personally, I also wonder how all the members of his family, himself, his three children, and his wife, can afford to run all at the same time, when we all know you have to have money to run for local and national positions. They can always deny down here, but not in heaven! Neither can we judge them!

But allow me to say this: The more riches you have, the more you’ll want, and that’s what we call G R E E D!
