If we keep complaining about the heat, we try to look for a place that will make us comfortable, to escape the heat. But when it comes to politics, you’ll all agree with me that as the 2016 election is nearing, politicians with plan to run for a higher elective position, is getting hotter, and getting to be interesting. Unlike when we talk of our hot climate, we can easily look for solutions to escape the heat, but when it comes to politics, one should be prepared to hear the worst, and shouldn’t have onion skin as critics can be cruel and won’t leave you alone.

I hope people who will read this column won’t be irked with me if I come out with some of my personal opinions. Like for instance, in the case of Sen. Grace Poe. Personally it doesn’t affect me if she doesn’t know who her biological parents are. I like the way she handles herself in the Senate hearing and she’s good. However, if she will seek for a higher position as VP or President of our Country, I will not agree, for the sole reason that she is still inexperienced. Being a Senator for only one term isn’t enough for her to learn the trades of being a good and efficient President. There are other Senators who are more qualified to run for the highest position of the land, like Mar Roxas, Alan Cayetano, Chiz Escudero, Panfilo Lacson, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and etc. ‘Am sorry if I have to air my opinion this way.

VP Jejomar Binay has always made his intention of running for president known eversince, but sad to say, he and his family are accused of plunder. Again, allow me to say that as long as he doesn’t answer how he acquired his unexplained wealth and defend himself in court, these cases will haunt him during his campaign period. The Binay family has always defended themselves by saying that politics is behind the demolition of the VP’s character! I leave it to the readers discretion to answer this!
