TICKLE  ME  PINK

BY BETTY ELAGO

Hello folks.  ‘Am back after having been out of circulation for some weeks due to ill health. I was about to quit my writing, but some friends said they’re missing Tickle me Pink, so here I am, back once more! This time, and ‘am writing about our newly organized ladies club.

We, ladies in our golden years had a reunion at Don Vicente Restaurante Latino last Saturday, August 8, 2015. Actually, they were my former NCWP colleagues, under the able leadership of Mercy Arquiza Fernandez, and at one time I became their VP too. The late Atty. Susan de los Reyes, also became President of the National Council of Women of the Philippines in the local chapter.  This time, the Lady Movers will be active as a social civic club in the local level. We will participate in any civic action, if  invited, and our services are needed. We want to be useful in our society.

The Lady Movers elected yours truly to be their prexy, and honestly, I didn’t know that there was going to be an election, and was truly surprised, and I thank them for it.

The following were elected: Vice President – Estrellita Mancao, Secretary – Perry Bolodo, Treasurer – Grace Macapili, PIO – Tessie Herera, Auditor – Baby Juan Ritter, Ways and Means – Edna Baguinda. Board Members: Carmen Ruste, Vicky Celdran, Aurora Reyes, Consuelo Ylaya, May Uro, Tita Santos, Marilyn Bacalla.

Mercy Fernandez will be leaving us soon, as she and her family will be leaving for Metro Manila to make their residence there. But while she is around, she will be our consultant.

Well ladies of the LADY MOVERS CLUB..... good luck to us all!
