HPG-9 men recover stolen motorcycle PDF Print E-mail

Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group 9 have recovered a stolen motorcycle during an “Oplan Mr. C Against Criminals Using Motorcycles” over the weekend.

The random check operation also netted 20 driver’s licenses and 89 motorcycles of erring drivers for various violations of Republic Act No. 4136.

HPG-9 Operations Officer Sr. Insp. Mervin Claret decribed the recovered motorcycle as a white Suzuki Raider model 2010 with plate number 1177 UP driven by a certain G. A Abubakar of Barangay Sta. Catalina.

Claret said after the Suzuki Raider was verified with the Vehicle Information Management System (VIMS) that links nationwide with HPG Camp Crame thru internet,  It was discovered that motorcycle is under in the list of stolen/ alarmed status with alarme number 2013-0211-043. The motorcycle was reported stolen by a certain D. S. Godez of Pasay City while parked along Villa Barbara St. corner Tramo St. in Pasay City on October 14, 2012.

Abubakar voluntarily surrendered the motorcycle upon knowing the real status of the unit. He told the HPG-9 men revealed that the seller of the unit  could not be found.

Sr. Supt. Joel R. Dimaano, HPG9 chief, ordered Claret to coordinate with the Crime Laboratory 9 for the conduct of macro-etching examination and inform HPG-9 National Headquarters on the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.
