HOLA! Zamboanga City is lucky to be the host city for Regional Flavors of the Philippines dubbed SAVORES, happening today at 6:00pm at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar .

Seven Restaurants will feature their best cuisine or cocktail foods using local ingredients most especially the different herbs and spices. Well of course , please do expect some influences from the different continents.

These are the local participating restaurants for SAVORES; Alavar’s  Seafoods Restaurant, Chinito’s, Chowtime, Planet Veggies, Big Dawgs Bistro, Bai Tal Man and South Avenue Diner and Grill.

SAVORES is our local version of the Regional Flavors of the Philippines. This is being pushed by the Department of Tourism knowing that Gastronomy is one reason why tourists visit a certain place to be able to taste the local cuisine.

Lucky for us in the city because we have our culinary treasures which gave us the reason to develop  our Gastronomy Tour Package that any visitor can avail when he or she is in Zamboanga City.

Moreover, during SAVORES, our guests will know the history and development of our local cuisine. Much  as I know some information about it, but I’m still excited to listen and learn from DOT IX Regional Director Mary June Bugante.

Because Zamboanga City is a Mosaic of Culture, we shall be entertained through dances and songs during SAVORES. So its not just food, but entertainment too. Never Miss this chance. Bring your family , relatives and friends at SAVORES! See yah baby!

****

Welcome to our guests from Manila who will be attending SAVORES. They include officials from the Department of Tourism ( central Office ), known chefs, events handlers and members of the national media.

They will personally try our foods, while our media guests will write about it,  a very good exposure for our local gastronomy tour packages in the national level.

SAVORES is being organized by the Dept of Tourism Regional Office IX, City Government of Zamboanga and the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Zamboanga City (HRAZ).
