LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…`The Father and I are one’…” (Jesus, our God and Savior, in John 10:30, the Holy Bible).

HOW TO BECOME A CHILD OF GOD BLOOD KIN OF THE CHRIST: The Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church (or the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo, or the AND KNK) is a fast-growing church which was established in the Philippines and whose members, without exception, are mandated, no matter what their status in life is, to preach the Word and save souls in the name of Jesus, our God and Savior.

Appropriately, the Church’s members are also called Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ, or Blood Kin in short (in Filipino, Kadugo). The reason for this is that the Church is founded on the doctrine that its members are saved, and are thus given power while they are on earth, and eternal redemption and salvation in Paradise, by the blood of Jesus.

So, how does one become a Child of God Blood Kin of the Christ? Church doctrine says that a person must accept Jesus and believe in His Name, pursuant to John 1:12 of the Bible. This sounds easy enough, but there is much more than what meets the eye here, especially in the light of those claiming to be children of God not really knowing what it is that they must accept and believe in Jesus.

ACCEPTING AND HAVING FAITH IN JESUS AS GOD: Indeed, what must one accept and believe in, in Jesus, to enable him or her to become a Child of God Blood Kin of the Christ? It is His being God and Savior, as many passages of the Bible prove, that is what. Again, this sounds easy, but it is also the truth that not many who profess themselves to be Christians could explain, satisfactorily and with the use of the Bible, how Jesus is really God.

I have tried an experiment on this point time and again, trying to determine from both old and new “Christians” whether they could point out specific passages from the Bible that prove Jesus is God and Savior. Inexplicably, the results were amazingly the same every time, and they all indicate that many of those calling themselves “Christians” cannot explain that Jesus is God and Savior.

This, to each and every AND KNK member, is the challenge that they must surmount and conquer: not simply to profess by their lips or their words that Jesus is God and Savior, but to be able to explain His status as God and Savior according to the Bible. AND KNK leaders believe that being able to prove that Jesus is God is the end time work which He wants His followers to succeed in, so that everyone who believes will be saved.

BIBLE CONFIRMS JESUS IS GOD AND SAVIOR: So, what are the passages that confirm Jesus is God and Savior? There are many, of course, but let me cite here the most basic chapters and verses that prove beyond doubt that Jesus is God and Savior. The first set of verses come from John 1:1-14, which, in its verse 12, says that those who accepted Him and believed in His Name are given the right to become children of God.

The same verses in John 1 (especially 1:14) clearly point out that God Himself, as the Word, came down from heaven and assumed human form, although His own people refused to receive Him. And while these verses did not give any idea about the Name of God that must be accepted and believed in, they refer without doubt to the prophecy, made about 800 to 1,000 years earlier by the Prophet Isaiah, about God the Father coming to earth, in the form of a “baby boy”.

So, where can we find, in the Bible, about the Name of God? We will have to read other verses which tell of the realization of the prophecy made by Isaiah about God the Father coming in the form of a human being, Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 1:31, among others. Under these verses which fulfill Isaiah’s prophecy, the powerful Name of God is stated, and it is Jesus.
