As we end the Summer (Verano) Festival in Zamboanga City, two major events will happen on May 28 organized by the City Government of Zamboanga — Danza Verano and the awarding ceremony of Sta Cruz Island Summer Escapade.

All the winners of the different events for Sta Cruz Island will be awarded thereat. Of course, there will still be pocket games, not parlor games ding, lol, cay nuay man kita na children’s party.

It’s a wholesome event in the island. You may bring your family and friends to enjoy. Good music is afforded too. Just make sure to bring your food and water, plus your best swimsuit and sun block of course.Enjoy Sta Cruz Island.   It is our banner tourist destination.

Danza Verano  will happen at Paseo del Mar at  6pm. Music and dance enthusiasts will have the chance to enjoy before saying Adios or goodbye to verano or summer. Yes dahling, looking forward to danceable music, ay trilla kita todo diatun piez  na bailada. I love it. Well if you don’t want to dance, you may just enjoy the music with great food and cold drinks available in all the stalls at Paseo Del Mar, the Party Capital of Zamboanga Peninsula.

I’m sure my dahlings Christian baby and amiable Cedrik planned well for Danza Verano. I’m excited to the listen to the repertoir of the music band who has been invited by San Miguel Beer Inc. Yeah,  I come from a family of musicians and had been exposed to similar events locally and abroad, so my kind of taste will be discriminating, but I can blend.

Oh ...My dearest Randolf will be busy for sure. I look forward to his cocktail drinks. You should try it at Distrito. It’s truly a good cocktail mix and it will really make you dance...hehehe...na prepara ha.. I hope to see my dear cousin Gerry Atilano by then. Let’s enjoy and have fun!

Muchas Gracias to Mayor Beng Climaco for supporting and approving the conduct of the different summer festival events and also to Ma’am Bibing Binarao of the Accounting Dept and Ma’am Virgie of the Budget Dept. for the never-ending fiscal guidance.... It pays to consult with Ma’am Bing and Ma’am Virgie as they truly guide you well. Also big thanks to the men and women of the General Services Office under the helm of Engr. Rey dela Cruz. And last but not the least...to Sir Jojo Aizon Yap, my team mates at the City Tourism Office and other staff of parallel offices handling events for your great contribution and efforts.

We all work hard ...we give our best shot, not to please somebody or anybody ,not just for a mere show or compliance...but because we owe this to the people and above all, WE LOVE ZAMBOANGA CITY, OUR HOME! — Email me at sebastian.sarita@gmNail.com
