The local government of Zamboanga City had its back to back exposure on Tourism and Trade at the recently concluded Mindanao Trade Expo held in Davao City. The event is one of the highlights of Kadayawan Festival 2016 in Davao City.

Thanks to local the government of Zamboanga headed by Mayor Beng for allowing us to attend the prestigious event , as it gave us so many opportunities to learn from  Davao’s experiences in Tourism and Trade. Yeah, it was great and inspiring.

On the aspect of tourism, we were able to attract travellers and tour operators in our destination booth . Oh yeah, they love our booth so pinky and girly daw. Hihihi...okay rah uy, angayan bitaw bai!

My Davao trip was fruitful as I was able to meet up with NITAS Mindanao President  Alex Divinagracia , the Guru of Davao’s  Travel group. An exchange of thoughts and ideas took place with some tips. In fact,  Mr. Divinagracia is so eager to visit our beloved city AGAIN along with other travel agency operators and establish connection .

Moreover, I’ve visited the office of my Davao City  counterpart Ms. Gene Tecson. Beautiful Office, spacious and Maaliwalas como ta abla maga tagalog. They have a display center at  the ground floor,  featuring the different Tourism and Trade products .At that moment,  all  I can say  was.... Wow! They are fully supported by my tukayo , the lovely Inday Sara.

Yes, we’ve had a lengthy discussion along with Ms. Tecson. In fact we plan to establish a strong tourism link. As always, she asked for the security situation of our city and I laid my cards on the table with the emphasis of the proper coordination needed should they wish to visit la bella Zamboanga.

Our locally made products were sikat in MTE. Investment Division office represented by Ate Mila Bunda Cortez brought along our famous hopia, sweetened sampaloc and the like. Doña Angie of Yakan Village also came along with her famous yakan cloths. They did a very good sales.

It was indeed a great exposure for Zamboanga City. MTE visitors learned about our  tourism and trade products .We were able to stir their interest to know more about our beautiful city, our only home that we love the most. Daghan Salamat Davao! Muchas Gracias Davao!
