LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts…” (Isaiah 1:23, the Holy Bible).

PLOT TO OUST DUTERTE HEATS UP: The Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) which now claims to represent SPO3 Arturo Lascanas, the latest witness who is implicating President Duterte in the various killings in Mindanao allegedly perpetrated by the so-called Davao Death Squad (DDS), is clearly eyeing something much more than revealing Duterte’s involvement in the DDS.

From what has been happening since almost two weeks ago, it would be very clear that the presentation of Lascanas by the FLAG, evidently upon the prodding of Duterte arch-critic Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, is meant to step up a bigger plot aimed at the ouster of Duterte, at or near the anniversary celebrations of the US-inspired first EDSA “people power revolution” on February 25, 2017.

The truth is that, in “Tambalang Batas at Somintac” (a Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. radio commentary show at Radyo Agila’s DZEC, 1062 kHz hosted by me and DZEC Malacanang reporter Vic Somintac), we have already been receiving information backed up by proof that there is indeed a movement that would culminate in the staging of another “people power revolution” on its 31st anniversary.

“PEOPLE POWER” UP VS. DUTERTE: The first proof that Somintac and I got was relayed through the Internet. It talked about a plan called “isalba ang bayan laban sa baliw” which, in English means “save the country from someone who is mad or mentally deranged”). The culminating activity of this plan is supposed to be the holding of a big rally on February 25, 2017, at the People Power Monument.

That rally is meant to kick out Duterte from the presidency, in the same way that, on February 25, 1986, former President Marcos was toppled from power through the first ever “EDSA people power revolution”. That rally would be followed by other events calculated to incite the people against Duterte, and entice them to join the 2017 rally.

According to the information that reached “Tambalan”, the “Walk for Life” of the Roman Catholic Church on February 19, 2017 at the Luneta Park in Manila is supposed to be a part likewise of the Duterte ouster plot, and is aimed to show the Catholic Church’s support for those who are seeking to remove him from the presidency. There will be more of these kinds of activities during the week preceding February 25, 2017, our sources are claiming.

LP, THE PARTY OF DUTERTE WITNESS? Now, there is something that struck me as totally significant during the Senate presentation of Lascanas. I noticed that the FLAG lawyers who claimed to be assisting him in his disclosures against Duterte have long standing affiliations with the Liberal Party. I hope this was merely coincidental, and did not have any meaning behind it.

The lawyers  were Arno Sanidad, Alexander Padilla, and Jose Manuel Diokno. Arno Sanidad is the brother of Pablo V. Sanidad, who was the former provincial chairman of the Liberal Party in Ilocos Sur, where he also served as its vice governor. Padilla is the son of late Sen. Ambrosio Padilla, a Liberal Party stalwart in the 1960s through the 1970s.

Diokno is the son of the late Sen. Jose W. Diokno, who rose to prominence when he topped the bar even if he did not undergo any formal schooling in law, and who became a lawmaker under the Nacionalista Party. However, he left that party and became a member of the Cory Aquino government as head of the Presidential Commission on Human Rights.
