LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures… Teach us to number our days,  that we may gain a heart of wisdom…” (Proverbs 90: 10 and 12, the Holy Bible).

REMINDER TO ALL: TIME DOES NOT STAND STILL: The world is officially on the second quarter already of 2017, with the start of the month of April. Before we know it, the Holy Week would be over, the summer vacation would be over, school opening shall have been done, and Christmas would be around the corner once more.

As I said before, I will say it again as a reminder to all: time indeed flies. I guess this is something that all people, the high and the low, the mighty and the powerless, the rich and the poor, and the young and old alike, should always bear in mind when they go about their businesses daily. Time does not stand still, and, before we know it, it is fast running out.

There is an admonition that we should be taught to number our days so we could gain a heart of wisdom—to realize early on that we will not be here forever, and that, if ever we are lucky enough, we can only go as old as 80 years old at the most, with out faculties intact.

JESUS IS THE JUST GOD WHO LOVES YET PUNISHES: In view of this limited time that is given to each man on earth, we must realize, as our warring politicians should realize, that all our iniquities and sinfulness, though maybe hidden from the eyes of men, will forever be known to Jesus, our God and Savior, who is God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, over which we will have to be held answerable and accountable.

While Jesus is the God who loves ever so deeply and greatly, and who is ever-merciful, He is nevertheless the just God who will punish all those who transgress His laws, among which are do not steal, do not murder, do not commit adultery, and who will reward those who will aspire to be righteous before Him.

Who will be considered righteous before Jesus? Only those who will accept and receive Him, and who will believe in His Name that He is God and Savior, who is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The admonition is clear: those who accepted and received Him, and believed in His Name would be saved forever, while those who refuse to accept Him as God and Savior, that He is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is already condemned.

SINCERE ACCEPTANCE AND BELIEF IN JESUS: Yet, there is a distinction between accepting and receiving Jesus, and believing in His Name as God and Savior who is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and then committing themselves to listen to His Word and obey His Commands all the time, and accepting and receiving Him yet continuing to wallow in sin.

The first one will be truly saved and will be with Him in the eternal life in Paradise. The second will be condemned to hell just the same, because his acceptance and believing in Jesus is a sham act, and is not true and sincere. God is not mocked, for in His great omnipotence and omniscience, He knows each and every beating of a person’s heart. No one can act fraudulently before Him.

While there is time, therefore, we must all endeavor to be true to our acceptance and belief in Jesus as our God and Savior. This can be shown by shunning all sinfulness and evil as much as we can, and obeying as forcefully as possible, all His commands.
