LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… Train the child in the way that he should go, and he will not depart from it when he grows old…” (Proverbs 22:6, the Holy Bible).

AND KNK PARENTS PRODUCE SPIRITUALLY STRONG KIDS: Two separate Facebook posts from two preachers of the “Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo” (AND KNK, or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church prove beyond doubt that parents who take time out to apply what they have learned from the Bible within their respective families, particularly to their growing children, become greatly successful in instilling discipline and love of God among their relatives.

The first post came from lady preacher Phen Ambay Altarejos, a member of the AND KNK since she was a very young girl. She narrated, quite gleefully of course, about how her son of about two years old, Baby Gab, responded when she asked him the other night whether, before he was to sleep, he already prayed.

Baby Gab, her eldest with her husband, amateur boxer Gab, Sr., then immediately kneeled and put his face down on the bed (in a prostrate manner, which is the way AND KNK Church members had been trained to pray), and proceeded to thank God for his milk, pampers, pork, noodles, his clothes, and water. After that, he stood up, raised his right hand and said, “Thank God in the Name of Jesus”.

A FAMILY OF AND KNK PREACHERS AND MEMBERS: Pastora Phen expressed surprised at how Baby Gab reacted to her question to him on whether he already prayed, and how he managed to pray and thank God by himself. However, I was not surprised. After all, Pastora Phen and her husband Gab, are leading members of the AND KNK, from the time they first met each other, to the time they were engaged, up to the time they were married, and up to now.

Then, Pastora Phen’s father, Nestor, is similarly a preacher of the AND KNK. Her mother, Anecita, is a member of the AND KNK, as well as her sister, Nerissa. Too, her nephew by another sister, Carl, is also a member of the AND KNK. Thank God in the Name of Jesus, the whole of Ambay-Altarejos families are AND KNK.

Because of this, even the very young members of the families are exposed to praying with face down and raising their hands in thanksgiving by the AND KNK members among them. They are similarly exposed to the manner by which AND KNK members pray, particularly in saying very frequently, “Thank God in the Name of Jesus.” Indeed, children exposed to the Bible, and to conduct befitting children of God and blood kin of the Christ, turn out to be spiritually strong.

PARENTS MUST BE WITH THEIR KIDS WHILE THEY ARE GROWING UP: The second post came from AND KNK Pastor Mario Quidlat Conson of Iligan City, but who is now residing in Pangasinan with his Pangalatok wife, AND KNK member Dolores, leading the AND KNK Chapter in the province. Here was his post: “Mga bata pa ang mga anak ay linangin na ang mga potensyal. Tiyak na gaganda ang kanilang kinabukasan.

“Children begin to learn social behavior sometime the second year of life. They do learn largely not through instruction but by imitation. Leaving a young child with someone whose manners and ways are totally different from yours, encourages the child to be like that persons, no matter how often he may be told to be like you.

“Ilang ina kaya ang nakakabatid nang laki ng kabutihang nagagawa kapag sila ang sumubaybay sa kanilang anak sa maghapon sa halip na kasambahay? Bukod sa maitutumpak nila ang pag-uugali ay mahuhubog pa nila ang potensyal ng bata.” Truly, children who grew up being closely supervised by their parents become better citizens, especially if the parents are Bible readers and compliers.
