“He who digs a pit will fall into it, and a serpent will bite him who breaks through a wall.” (Eccles. 10:8, ESV)

The passage above is not just mere poetic lines, they are life’s rules, to wit: if we trespass the boundaries or limits which God almighty created for all of us, sure and dire consequences shall injure us then at the end. Thus, God implores, “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” (Lk. 4:12, ESV)

One good example are the daytime and nighttime clock. In the book of Genesis, God created the day for man to work, engage and endeavor whichever business he wants; whereas, the nighttime is designed for his rest—he sleeps. Now, science itself confirms to how relevant is the time between 10 o’clock in the evening to 4 o’clock dawn, to the rejuvenation of our physical bodies.

Accordingly, their actual time equivalent, with regards to our normal sleep, is a two-hour sleep when we do it in the morning time. Break the pattern and the obvious answer is: its consequences are demanded then to our personal health. The Lord said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 Jn. 2, KJV)

Without question, God wanted us to walk in His eternal benefits. He indeed is very good. But such can only happen if we follow His simple rules. The law of gravity is God’s masterpiece; respect it, and you never can be harmed. Albeit, if one insists to defy such law, and he brags that gravity doesn’t work to his actions, so he jumps over a 10 story building! What do you think be the results?

Because of our sin nature, it has been our usual tendency to twist natural laws of God. Notwithstanding, God’s standard remains the same. No amount of human pressure and disobedience which can alter God’s righteousness. On the other hand, God’s rewards of blessings or goodness abound to those who follow and obey His words.

Fruits and vegetables, are without doubt, God’s provisions for our health and shape. But what folks love more, especially nowadays, are fastfood and instant meals! No wonder, the people of this generation are either hypertensive or diabetic. Admittedly, vegetables are usually bitter in taste. Similar to most medicines, they indeed are because they heal. Friends, love vegetables more than instant noodles or fastfood meals.

Fruits are that naturally expensive, do you know why? That simply due to their health benefits. The potency of an apple or a guava is more than any Vit-C tablet. When a person reaches middle-age level, he begins to realize then the extreme importance to maintain his health. Much if he already feels some pains or ailments, now and then.

Let me pound also the priceless value of study. Students give a perused studious life for yourself. And I guarantee you, success awaits you then without limits! St. Paul scribbled, “STUDY AND DO YOUR BEST to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” (2 Tim. 2:15, AMP)

Ordinary reading is also beneficial to your personal comprehensions. Long reading is the best friend of any genius person. Or one grows to become genius if he can develop the habit of long reading. Well, there is a time for everything. But take long reading as part of your definite time, daily. I heard someone said that you can know that one loves to read if he smells his book before he reads it.

I have another suggestion, invest to buy good reading materials—books. Think about how much you regularly spend for load credits, say as every month. If you spend P30 every three days that means you can spend at least P300 monthly. Translate them to an
