TODAY’S MANNA

BY Berlie G. Yap

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?” (Lk. 32:27, ESV)

It is pretty discouraging when all you face daily are walls! And the next is when you seem to feel that you are totally limited and powerless to the situation where you are in. Albeit, if we only know that we ain’t to carry things all by ourselves alone, stuffs will be different then. God is only a whisper away. We only will have to call on Him for His help.

Admittedly, when we face our worries—by our human strengths, things will surely be unreachable or impossible. But if God is with us, everything will also turn to be easier. Man is limited. But do you know such is an actual blessing? Our limitations may lead us to be fully dependent to our Creator.

You see, when we feel we are capable, chances are we step away and start to become arrogant. Every day we need God, especially in our weaknesses. Thus, God would allow trials and temptations to come along our ways, to keep us grounded. God told St. Paul, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Cor. 12:9, ESV)

Our weaknesses are not an actual hindrance to stop us reach our potentials. In fact, God uses them to bless us more. In our limitations, we can become fully sufficient, of course through the STRENGTH OF GOD! Reliance to our God is the key. When we solely trust to our human strength, we become limited; God’s power is only all available to those who will depend on Him.

God’s strength shall be like the eagle’s to flow in our flexes, when we rely on Him. It is not a trivial thing to rely onto the Lord. There are people who laugh soon when somebody will include God in their normal conversations. They think that believing God is an unpopular thing. Well, the very truth is the full irony instead.

Those who include God in any endeavor they do prosper. Many great men in history became renown because of their personal faith to God. They found that: to trust God can connect one to an inexhaustible source of wisdom and honor. God calls those who do not believe his existence as fools. “The Fool Says in his Heart, ‘There is No God.” (Ps. 14:1, ESV)

Do not follow the steps of the foolish! Whether a person believes God or not, such cannot change the very fact that a CREATOR exists. He is the all-powerful God. Thus, rely onto Him, and not to your human strengths. The Bible is God’s Word; He gave it to us so that we will read it daily, for our guidance. Ours is a slippery and a dark world. All of us need some solid ground to stand on—the powerful Word of God.

The Bible is not just an ordinary book. God’s breath is upon it. It is a light and a life to those who will meditate on it day and night. Many godly folks say that the Word of God is even a heavenly manual, to show us how to live our lives here on earth. Do not give your Bible to the dusts in your home. Read and love it. Apply its lessons.

The Bible is already a very old book. But if you will apply it in any of your situations, you will find that the Bible is a very relevant guide. Are there how many broken lives and families were healed because of the power of the Word! My suggestion, if you are not fully exposed to the Bible, find any friend who can help explain more to you.

The best which can happen to any man in this world is when he can have a personal relationship with God. God doesn’t seek any particular religion. He wants rather to establish a relationship with us. God almighty sent His only begotten Son to connect us to God. Because of sin, our relationship was broken. Thus, God did the initiative by building then the necessary bridge, through His own Son.

God will not force us to believe on Him. He only waits that we come to Him, with all of our hearts. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:16-17, ESV)

Life with God is a victorious one. All people do have their own storms and trials in life. But if God is real in your life, such will become your edge to overcome any odds along. But alas to any man who is alone, without God in his life, because he is destine to fail. The world is a brutal place. We need God’s immunity, to protect and preserve us.

Give your life to God, you will never regret it. It will instead be the best investment which you can ever do, in this side of eternity. We have our own and individual stories, include God in yours! God is invisible though, but He is real. I’ll say it again, God is only a whisper away. Friends, try Him. God bless you.
