LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge… Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests… The more priests there were… the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their glorious God… They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness…” (Hosea 4: 6-8, the Holy Bible).

FAILURE OF SPIRITUAL TEACHING: One of the most poignant passages in the Bible (Hosea 4) shows God lamenting the lack of knowledge among His own people. Because His people lack knowledge, they perish. “Perish” here means they experience difficult lives while they are here on earth, and are bound for eternal damnation in the life hereafter.

Who did God blame for this? He blamed the priests and the religious leaders. From God’s point of view, the priests and religious leaders failed to instruct the people about His laws, causing them to sin. Consequently, God’s punishment is promised by Him, both against the priests and against the people they lead.

Therefore, any Christian aspiring to work for God must endeavor to fully learn God’s laws, and then make these laws known in earnest to the people. This is the true work of Christians—read the Bible, meditate on it, and obey everything that is written in it, and then go and preach to the world, so salvation—against the vagaries of life here on earth and against the never-ending fire and worms of hell—could come to them, too.

PREACH, OR DIE…: The duties to “go and make disciples of all nations, to baptize them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to teach them everything that Jesus commanded them to do” are Christian duties that carry a grim penalty if they are not carried out. The Book of Ezekiel (Chapters 3 and 33, in particular) attests to this.

Ezekiel was ordered by God to preach His Word. If he preached God’s Word and people listened and turned away from sin, not only would the sinner be saved, but Ezekiel as well. On the other hand, if he preached the Word of God and yet the people will not stop sinning, the people will perish, but Ezekiel himself will be saved.

If Ezekiel did not obey God’s orders for him to preach the Word, and man wasn’t able to know the Word of God so that he continues to sin, the sinner will perish. But because Ezekiel did not preach the Word of God as he was ordered to do, he himself will perish. Preaching, therefore, is an important work that must be carried out assiduously by those who believe that Jesus is God and Savior, and is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WORK FOR ALL AND KNK MEMBERS: PREACH: Among the members of the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (or AND KNK, Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church, a Church that accepts and believes in Jesus as God and Savior and as God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the marching orders for each one of them are to preach the Word and save souls, whatever be their stations in life.

AND KNK members believe that these twin duties to preach and save are basically found in Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, Jude 23, Proverbs 24:11-12, and Matthew 24:14. There are other Bible verses in support of these duties for all AND KNK members, of course, but they will be discussed at a later time, God willing.

This belief proceeds from their perception, based on Biblical and historical support, that Jesus has His own Church (see Matthew 16:18), which He will call from the “east” or “far-off land”  (Isaiah 46:11), which is the Philippines (there is a proof from history on this), to fulfill His end-time purpose (Matthew 24:14) to proclaim Jesus as God and Savior, as the basis of salvation for the coming Judgment Day.
