LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… In (Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…. if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin…” (Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 1:7, the Holy Bible).

“KADUGO” IS BEING ONE WITH JESUS IN HIS FLESH, BLOOD, AND SPIRIT: Members of the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (AND KNK, or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church do not call each other “brother” or “sister”, but “blood kin” or “blood relative”. I couldn’t find a word in English for “blood kin” or “blood relative”, but there is an interesting word in Filipino which denotes a “blood kin” or a “blood relative.”

This Filipino word is “Kadugo”. Among themselves, AND KNK members call each other “Kadugo” and, aside from the sheer novelty of being called “Kadugo”, it is impressed upon them that this Filipino word has a much deeper meaning in their spirituality.

Principally, it denotes their being one with Jesus, our God and Savior, in His blood, flesh, and spirit. How did this happen? It is a consequence of their having accepted and received Him, and of their believing in Him as God and Savior, and as God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

AND KNK CHURCH MEMBERS ARE EQUALS: Now, because AND KNK members are one in blood, flesh, and spirit with Jesus, it is the doctrine among them, based on numerous verses in the Bible, that although they are now many, both here and abroad by the grace of God, they are in fact only one, and are united with each other in their blood, flesh and spirit.

Because AND KNK members are one with their fellow members though they are many, each one of them is considered equal with each other in their standing in the AND KNK church. There is no one in the AND KNK that is greater or lower than the other member. They are equals in all respect, no matter how rich or poor they maybe, or what educational attainment or political positions they may have acquired.

The faith is that, they are equals in all respect because only one God—Jesus, their God and Savior—called them to become AND KNK members. They believe that the source of their faith as AND KNK members—that Jesus is God and Savior, and is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—came from Jesus Himself, for a purpose He designed even before creation.

PREACHING AND SAVING SOULS: THE WORK OF AND KNK CHRISTIANS: On top of that, equality as AND KNK members gives each of them the same responsibility in fulfilling the very reason why they were called in the first place to become members of the AND KNK, which is to become a part of the work God envisioned to be fulfilled as the world comes to its end. What is this work as the world comes to its end?

It is proclaiming the Good News that Jesus is God and Savior, and saving souls on the basis of that Good News. What this means is that, each and every AND KNK member is baptized into the Church—which is the very Church of Jesus in the Philippines—to preach and save, and not to simply sit down during church ceremonies or praise and worship sessions, just like what they used to do.

This is the reason why the AND KNK Church endeavors to teach and train all its members—the “Kadugos”—to read the Bible daily, meditate on it day and night, and obey all its commands all the days of their lives, so they could one day go and make all the nations disciples of Jesus, baptizing all men in the Name of Jesus, and teaching  everyone everything that Jesus commanded the world to do so they could be saved.
