SALE OF “DOUBLE DEAD” MEAT INCREASES AS X’MAS NEARS: Some of our businessmen must be told that while they could get away with using “double dead” meat as part of what they sell to the public for a while, the truth will catch up with them sooner or later, and they will be exposed for what they really are---cheats whose souls are already being eaten up by worms and devoured by fire in hell (see the Bible, Revelation 21:8 and Isaiah 66:24).

If I am to believe the reports aired Thursday, October 28, 2010, in the early morning program at ABS CBN DZMM of former Vice President Noli De Castro, the sale of “double dead” meat, or meat being passed off as fresh although they actually come from animals which died before they were butchered, is increasing by the day, especially in the provinces around Metro Manila.

GOV’T INUTILE VS. “DOUBLE DEAD” MEAT: Of course, the incentive to sell double dead meat, or “botcha” as it is known here in the National Capital Region, or to use it for processed food products, becomes greater as the Christmas season continues to draw nearer, with people wanting to eat more ham, bacon, sausage and salami or lasagna, and government being inutile in stopping this malady.

But then, let us not forget the warning aired by the Lord Jesus, in Matthew 16:26 of the Holy Bible: “What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?” Indeed, as Revelation 21:8 and Isaiah 66:24 are telling us, the worms that will eat sinners will not die, and fire that will burn them will not stop.

INDONESIA TRAGEDY FOREWARNED IN THE BIBLE? If we look close enough, the destructive and deadly tsunami and volcanic eruption that killed hundreds of people and flattened 10 villages and destroyed homes and businesses in Sumatra, Indonesia Wednesday, October 27, 2010, represent two curses listed by the Bible as coming from God.

The 10-foot tidal wave that hit the Indonesians could very well be the “flood” or “rising waters” that the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned in Matthew 7:24-27 of the Bible, while the volcanic eruption that resulted in ash covering many parts of the same Sumatra island at the same time could very well be the “rain of dust and powder” mentioned in its Deuteronomy 28:15, 24. Try reading these Biblical passages so you will know what I mean, will you?

SABOTAGE CLAIM VS. COMELEC UNFAIR: I really do not know if anybody from the Commission on Elections really wanted to sabotage the October 25, 2010 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, with the end in view of preventing the electoral exercise in some places.

To me, what happened really was that the Comelec lacked time to completely prepare for the polls, in view of last minute attempts by some people to postpone the elections to 2012 or 2013, so that, the poll body’s officials who were tasked to deliver the election paraphernalia to far-flung places simply run out of time to do their job.

Of course, some of these officials were just too happy with that development, because it offered them an opportunity to make a few small pesos here and there, but then, to say that these Comelec officials wanted to sabotage the elections is simply out of league and is totally unfair.
