When hosting a party, one of the most important things you shouldn’t forget is how to entertain your guests. The most common that I know of is the sing-along practice, where the guests enjoy singing one after the other, sometimes, even at the wee hours of the morning.

I am not really a party goer, but last weekend, I attended two parties I enjoyed. One party I attended was the birthday celebration of my niece, Karla Ochotorena, who turned half a century older, but still looking young, smart and  charming in her beautiful red dress with gold trimmings that went with it. Her loving husband Ramon, her two charming daughters Sammy, Chezka, and only son Leirand, were all present, attending to the guests.

This isn’t the first time I attended her party, and I can tell you it’s worth attending, because you will truly enjoy her parties. There are a lot of entertaining numbers, and wow, you’ll see her dancing too, and quite a graceful dancer! Being very active with the PNP Ladies Club in Pagadian City, it was not a surprise to see them last Friday night, contributing a choral and a dancing number for their past prexy. The staff of the Nursing Department of WMSU were also present and performed one bouncing dance number. I would like to greet Karla once again a happy belated birthday., and God bless!

Congratulations to the tall and winsome Tanya Marie, daughter of the late Jose Maria Bucoy and Zonie B. Bucoy, who joined hands in matrimony to Bernelle Malicsi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernardito Malicsi, at the St. Joseph Church last Saturday afternoon. Her wedding dress was imported from the US. Wedding sponsors were Cong. Erbie B. Fabian and Ms. Gloria Atilano and Mr .and Mrs.Alexander Calapardo.

The reception was at Rigodon Hall of Patio Palmeras. Gee, after the entrance of the wedding entourage, the couple came in informally dancing their way to their table. I guess this is now the modern way! I LIKE IT.
