LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…`Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life… I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world’…” (Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, in John 6:47-51, the Holy Bible).

ALL SAINTS’ DAY 2017: CAN SINNERS STILL BE SAVED? So, what, really, is the truth—there is no more salvation from hell for those who died as sinners, or, there is still hope for them for salvation in heaven?

Apparently, there are two conflicting teachings about this issue in the Bible. According to the first teaching, when a person dies, whether he or she is a sinner or not, or whether he lived a righteous life or not, there is no more that could be done to assure his or her salvation in heaven.

On the other hand, according to another teaching (which is espoused by the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo, or AND KNK or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church), salvation is still possible for those who died in sin, but only according to what the Bible teaches. What is this Biblical teaching? It is through the preaching of the Bible to the dead.

TEACHINGS ABOUT THE DEAD THAT THE LIVING SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO: The first teaching is taken from Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, which says: “… the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten…”

The Bible also proclaims “(T)heir love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun…”

The second line of teaching on this matter comes from 1 Peter 4:6 which says: “… For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit…”

SKELETONS WILL BE GIVEN NEW FLESH AND BREATH: On the other hand, if we look at Ezekiel 37, we are shown the power of God to bring back to life those who have died and whose remains now constitute merely of dried bones and dust. Here is what is stated in that chapter: “The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.

“He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, `Son of man, can these bones live?’ I said, `Sovereign Lord, you alone know.’ Then he said to me, `Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!

“ `This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’
