LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… But to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, to them he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision, or of a husband’s will, but were born of God…” (John 1:13-13, the Holy Bible).

DUTIES THAT CHILDREN OF GOD MUST COMPLY WITH: The following was the message given to the members of the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church (AND KNK, or the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo) on November 25, 2017: Today, we will look into the mandated duties that would establish a person to be a true child of God and blood kin of the Christ, by virtue of his thoughts, words, behavior, and appearance.

Let’s go first on the kind of thoughts that a child of God and blood kin of the Christ must be having. What should a true child of God and blood kin of the Christ be thinking each and every moment of his life? According to the Bible, in its Philippians 4:8-9, there are two things that they must always be thinking of.

The first are the things which are true, noble, righteous, pure, lovely, and admirable. The second is obedience or compliance with everything that had been taught to those who consider themselves children of God and blood kin of the Christ—and these are the things that are, well, true, noble, pure, lovely, and admirable.

CHILDREN OF GOD, OR CHILDREN OF THE EVIL ONE? Indeed, what are the things that are true? Noble? Pure? Lovely? And admirable? In our lives as believers who have been allowed to become children of God and blood kin of the Christ, are we striving to obey, comply with, or discharge what have been taught us?

Or, are we showing our being children of God blood kin of the Christ merely through our lips and spoken words, but that deep in our minds and hearts, and in our style of speaking and behaving and appearing to others, we remain to be children of the devil?

After attending our spiritual gatherings, masses, or praise and worship sessions, after fervently proclaiming that Jesus is our God and Savior, do we return to our old sinful ways and corrupted selves once we have left the worship halls of our churches, and have returned to our homes?

WE SHOULD SEARCH OURSELVES REGULARLY: When we converse or talk with our spouses, our children, and our house helps, are we showing them that we are indeed children of God? Or, are we showing them that, despite our pretense, we are still children of the evil one? Do we still talk coarsely with, or as someone who thinks condescendingly of, those who live with or around, us?

Do we continue to entertain the thought that we are the only ones who have the capacity to be intelligent, and that everybody else are dimwits? We should regularly search ourselves sincerely on these matters, if we wish to be graced with the success that comes from being a true child of God and blood kin of the Christ, in our thoughts, words, behavior, and appearance.

Jesus Christ will not be fooled into giving us success and prosperity in our lives if our thoughts, words, behavior and appearance remain to be those of the children of the devil. We should be reminded that God cannot be mocked, and that whatever we sow is what we shall reap in the course of time.
