“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (Ps. 91:11, ESV)

Angels are real! They are invisible and are sent by God to keep His creation, particularly the humankind. We just do not see them, but simply unknown to us, they are always involved in our day to day affairs. They are sent by God to helpthe will of the Father done on earth as they are done in heaven.

My mom told me that when I was 6 months old, I fell from our stairs. Thankfully, I didn’t die. Accordingly, I was in my walker and my nanny forgot to close our door. Thus, I got attracted to continue to walk through the threshold of our stairs. The second floor of our house was about 15-20 feet from the ground floor, and our stairs were also pretty stiff.

Well, I was only a baby! Then, I continued to walk unhindered until I fell to that stiff and high stairs. I bled my forehead though, but I didn’t have any broken limb or anything. I believe in those critical moments that God sent His holy angels to charge over me. It must be the will of the Father, that one day, that small baby boy will serve Him. I’m ever grateful!

God knows the end even before anything can start. Thus, God is God! He is omniscient; so He sets to each of us a destiny to fulfill. Yes, what God has for all of us is not just a fate but a good destiny. He is bound too, to send His hosts to see to it that such destiny shall be fulfilled. Notwithstanding, man has his free-will which God Himself cannot trespass.

Hence, it is that same faculty where we must yield or surrender to Him. To live a surrendered life to God is to walk in complete freedom—free from any bondages or curses. Which would you like—to walk in the fullness of His blessings or in some miseries away also from God? It is though pretty surprising that countless of people hate God! They would rather want to talk about other things but the Creator.

The common darkness inside the hearts of men is the simple reason why the world is in chaos all throughout history. Such darkness evaded Him to follow the almighty. He instead chose to rebel against his Creator. The consequences are terrible—sin, sicknesses and death had replaced eternal life.

When God created man, the former meant the latter to live forever. You know the story of the fall. Adam disobeyed God! He ate that fruit of the tree of knowledge. He transgressed God’s command, hence on that same day he died spiritually. So, from Adam to our generation we carry in our blood the sin nature.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23, ESV) Albeit, God gave us the antidote, thus, He sent His own begotten Son. Christ died on Calvary to satisfy the penalty of sin. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (Jn. 3:17-18, ESV)

God initiated our redemption. The simple task which we ought to do isjust to give our lives back to him. Now, when one is reconciled againwith God, angels shall surround him. They see to it that the person can fully follow God. When he falters, angels will also help him to recover. But we are not to worship angels. We are to solely worship God, and none else.

It is horrifying to see that there are people around the world who succumbed to deceptions and they worship fallen angels, naming them to different names. Idolatry is a serious sin. Such carries heavy curses by our God. Idolatry is replacing God from His worthy throne with any creation. The psalmist said that we become to be to who we worship. So, if men worship—for example, animals, they can also behave like animals.

On the other hand, if we worship the true and living God, our characteristics change to be in semblance to His. Thus, we can love unconditionally and are able to accept the unacceptable. God is a Spirit or invisible. He commands us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. To bow before any idol is an abomination to God’s sight. In fact, the first two commandments in the 10 Commandments are about idolatry.

“You shall not make for yourself a CARVED IMAGE, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall NOT BOW DOWN TO THEM OR SERVE THEM, for I the Lord your God am a JEALOUS GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” (Exo. 20:4-6, ESV)

God bless you.
