Firstly, I would like to thank Bong Bue, my former Zambo. Columnist Club colleague, where both of us became President, for inviting me to guest in his radio programa 1116 DXAS, last Women”s Day, to talk about the Most Beautiful Barangay in our beloved City, and touching other subject matters!

Actually, the contest was divided into two categories, dist 1 and 2, where people can vote. I wasn’t aware of this. In dist.1, Pasonanca barangay won first, and definitely it was my choice! What makes Pasonanca bea utiful is their park within their barangay, which was the first tourist spot during the time of our late Mayor Cesar C. Climaco. However, when our late beloved Mayor Maria clara L. Lobregat became our Mayor too, she made the Park more beautiful. Thru her initiative, Pasonanca now have a Museum where artifacts of Zambo are displayed and an Aviary where you can see all kinds of birds. They also have a beautiful garden which should be named after Ma’am Caling and should be called “El jardin de Ma’am Caling! The place where the swimming pools are located, became more attractive because different kinds of plants were added to make it look cool to the eyes  of people swimming there! I just hope they are still there!

Barangay Tetuan got first in dist. Two. ‘Am glad ‘coz it’s the barangay where I live in, but my only regret is that it’s dirty. I hope the barangay officials won’t get mad at me because the street where I live is near a school, and the side streets just outside our gate is dirty all the time! May I suggest that our local government, thru DXAS and other radio stations, to also put up a contest for the cleanest baramgay  City wide and probably come up with a cash reward to motivate our barangay official to keep their respective barangays clean, and perhaps the cash rewards cand help beautify their barangays! Please come up with a budget for street sweepers, not only two or three, but have a street sweeper for every street in their barangays, to make it clean every day! Do you agree with e folks?
