LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work…”(1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, the Holy Bible).

THANK YOU, STARBUCKS LAKESHORE, NLEX MEXICO, PAMPANGA: It was a happy reunion of sorts for my wife, former Judge Angelina Domingo Mauricio, and, hold your breath for a while... not with Starbucks Lakeshore highly courteous crew, Brix, Kath, and Aila, who always wear a smile while working... but with her Senior Citizen’s ID card.

The Judge forgot to get that card last July 08, 2018, Sunday, after she used it for a cup of coffee en route to our preaching job at Plastado, Gerona, Tarlac. She emailed the coffee chain’s Customer Relations to notify them of her having left her SC card. Starbucks replied right away and said she can get it back anytime. Well, she got it back indeed on July 10, 2017. Thank God in the Name of Jesus, thank you Starbucks.

RP, “PROVINCE OF CHINA”: Whoever was (or were?) behind posters like the one hanging at the footbridge near D. Tuazon St., Quezon City and the Manila Center of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday, July 12, 2018, and in many other places all over Metro Manila proclaiming “Welcome to the Philippines, Province of China”, are obviously bent on accomplishing one of two differing purposes.

The first purpose would appear to be to discredit President Duterte and his manner of tackling the South China Sea occupancy of China. They intend to create an image of Duterte cowering and bowing down to China, with his refusal to be more belligerent in asserting the UN Arbitral Tribunal’s decision saying China has no legal right over the South China Sea.

But, sometimes, obvious things are used as effective smokescreens to hide one’s real motivations—-who knows, these posters may have actually been installed by those wanting to incite the people to commit serious violence that would necessitate stronger government responses, like martial law, or revolutionary government. One can never tell nowadays!!! May God have mercy on the Filipino nation.

CONGRATS TO LTO’s COMPUTER SYSTEM! I wish to congratulate the Land Transportation Office (or LTO) on its use of an effective computer system devoted to tracking and recovering drivers’ licenses which have been confiscated by traffic enforcers from motorists on account of traffic infractions. I saw the effectivity of that computer system when I went to LTO’s main office at East Avenue, Quezon City, last Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

I went there because last Sunday, July 08, 2018, I was flagged down and given a traffic citation ticket by traffic enforcers at the northbound exit of SCTEX (or the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway) in Tarlac City, allegedly for speeding. Last Wednesday, I redeemed my license, and I was truly glad to find out that recovering licenses from the LTO has become quite an easy task,  precisely because of the computer system in place.

But be that as it may, I wish to express my gratitude to Mr. Abner Fernandez of LTO LETAS (or the Law Enforcement Traffic Adjudication System), as well as to Atty. Oscar Ocaya and Mr. Barrientos of the same office, for immediately assisting me, once they recognized me. Thank you very much!

NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX TRAFFIC ENFORCERS SABOTAGING GOV’T: Can you guess how much I paid to redeem my license? P2,077.00! Well, if only enforcers at SCTEX, NLEX (North Luzon Expressway), and TPLEX (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressways), would be flagging down all over speeders, huge amounts of money can go to government everyday.

But these enforces are sabotaging the government with their refusal to flag down all over speeding drivers, and with their failure to implement the over speeding rule everyday. President Duterte, can you take a look at this!
