Yes, what’s in a name?  I would like to address this to the Moro Islamic Liberation front. As long as the Philippine Government is addressing the problems of the Moro people in their region, the establishment of a BangsaMoro state is baseless. We are all Filipinos by birth.

Please don’t misunderstand me. Like all other citizens here in Mindanao, we crave for a lasting peace. I think, that even if the Phil. Gov’t. will grant  the sub-state that the MILF is asking for, there will still be war. We can’t deny the fact that Umbra Kato will still be a problem not only to the Christians, but also to the MILF

Rebels themselves, since the two factions don’tagree with one another. We don’t have to point out whose fault it is.

Neither do we have to blame our government for the failure of ARMM, but instead, the ARMM officials themselves should be blamed, together with the past administration of Pres. Gloria Arroyo, where alleged corruption have been committed enormously. We are hoping that everything will change under the leadership of President Noynoy Aquino. We also believe that there is rivalry between the MNLF and the MILF.

Our government should be wiser. It should sit down together with the MILF and MNLF for the peace talk, because it is useless to talk with them separately. The tausugs and the Maranaos don’t see eye to eye, as they have different temperaments Perhaps, situations will change if these two groups can show us that they can live peacfully together and they can assure us that no other rebel groups will rise, and perchance, we people in Mindanao, will change our minds. This means, there will be no more crimes commited. We can roam safely WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING KIDNAPPED ! Do you agree with me folks?

I would like to thank a good friend and a fellow columnist , Tita Corteza, for the beautiful bouquet of flowers. Love you for that. That goes for Dante too. You know tita, I offered the bouquet of flowers to Mama Mary. Hope you won’t mind.

To my beloved husband Vincent, our two sons vp and john, thank you very much for the surprise party., but it wasn’t really a surprise party anymore cause I knew beforehand that they were preparing the party for me. Thanks too, to all my friends and relatives for spending the evening with me. To Tita Gonzales, thanks for the Hawaiian dance numbers. One thing sure, I don’t want to get sick to have a birthday party next year, teehee.
