KAKAMPI MO ANG BATAS

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him…” (Proverbs11:1, the HSaveoly Bible).

NEWS BLACKOUT HITS SENATE HEARING ON COMELEC ANOMALIES: Many political supporters of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos are up in arms over the negligible coverage given by mainstream media to the Senate hearing the other day which dwelt with the reported cheating, tampering, and manipulation of election results allegedly perpetrated by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and Smartmatic, Inc.

Many Bongbong supporters feel that there was a deliberate news blackout against the Senate hearing, so the disclosures of Atty. Glenn Chong, a former Biliran congressman and now an information technology expert, on the manipulations made by certain groups of the 2016 electoral exercise to prevent Bongbong’s victory, will not reach the citizenry.

On account of this media blackout, Bongbong supporters have made a plea: share, through social media, the video of the Senate hearing, so it can be viewed widely in the Philippines and in the whole world. Because I am also interested to find out the truth on the matter, I also shared the video. If our readers here are interested, they can share this link:

ATTY. GLENN CHONG SHOULD BE SUPPORTED IN THE CRUSADE VS. COMELEC CHEATING: I share the passion of Atty. Chong against electoral cheating, and I would like to help in the full disclosure of the poll anomalies he is attributing to Smartmatic and Comelec. Even then, this column, Kakampi Mo Ang Batas, had been concerned about allegations of cheating. One column I wrote was that which came out on November 03, 2014, involving poll cheating using PCOS (precinct count optical scan). Let’s read it again:

“Why is there a petition seeking the invalidation by the Supreme Court of the results of the 2013 senatorial elections? The petitioners argued that those results came from the manipulation of the PCOS machines which the (Comelec) bought from Smartmatic, Inc., as shown by the nationwide 60-30-10 PCOS count where 60% of the winners came from the administration party and the rest from other parties.

“Relative to this, Margarita “Tingting” Cojuangco, a close relative of President Aquino, is accusing the President of having masterminded the rigging of the 2013 elections to favor candidates of the Liberal Party coalition, saying that the Chief Executive even gave P30 million to the Comelec to cover-up the election fraud, in the guise of prohibited intelligence funds.

PNOY ACCUSED OF CHEATING IN THE 2013 POLLS BY OWN KIN: “Comelec has consistently denied Cojuangco’s claims, even if other information technology or computer experts and former Comelec officials are relentlessly coming up with proof showing that PCOS results were indeed rigged in many ways, especially since poll officials removed vital security features which could have safeguarded the sanctity of the results coming from PCOS machines, in 2010 and 2013.

“But Comelec has come under increasing fire for its insistence to use the discredited PCOS machines for the 2016 presidential elections, and for its decision to negotiate a contract with Smartmatic, Inc. for the purchase of some P18 billion worth of additional PCOS machines and for the ‘refurbishing’ of the old ones.

“Glenn Chong, a former congressman from Biliran and who is himself an IT expert opposing the use once again of PCOS machines, warned that his group will file another case with the Supreme Court if Comelec allows Smartmatic Inc. to participate in its biddings for the 2016 presidential elections…”
