SEN. KIKO, YOU ARE ALL THE SAME BANANAS, RIGHT? With the way Sen. Francis Escudero and his political allies have been berating the Marcoses, one would think his group and his allies did not commit any plunder, abuse, or corruption against the Filipino people. Kiko, as the Bible intones, before you even think of criticizing the dirt in your brother’s eye, be sure to clean up first the dirt in your own eyes.

In fact, the issue is not just between the Marcoses and the people. There is a bigger and more scandalous issue here between the Aquinos and our countrymen regarding graft and corruption, plunder, and the many injustices that have been committed by them against the poor and the marginalized Filipinos, which even include the proliferation of shabu and other illegal drugs in the country during your own time as government leaders.

If we try to come right down to the bottom of everything, it cannot be denied that your group, Kiko, is no different from the Marcoses. You are all the same bananas, especially because your group and your allies are yourselves involved in taking away government money, where the prime example was the distribution by Noynoy Aquino of billions of pesos in government funds as disbursement acceleration program (DAP) incentives to lawmakers like you. Indeed, our own Supreme Court declared DAP illegal.


BIBLICAL PROOFS THAT JESUS IS GOD THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT: At the AND KNK, or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church (Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo), its members (who are also called Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) are one in the belief that the Bible contains many indubitable proofs showing Jesus to be God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We shall try to discuss these proofs from the Bible, here in Kakampi Mo Ang Batas, for those who are interested to know.

We have already started discussing, a few issues back, the proofs of God the Father that He, God the Father, was the same God the Father who came down to earth from heaven, in human likeness and form, in the form of man with flesh and blood to receive, as He indeed received in His holy flesh, holy blood, and Holy Spirit, the punishment that should have been meted out to humans for their sinfulness.

We saw these proofs in Genesis 3;15, Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-27, and John 1:1-14. In all of these verses, the pronouncement is clear that God Himself was the One who came to earth, disclosing even His Name, Jesus (which means the “Savior of his people”). We shall continue discussing these proofs in succeeding issues, so please stay with us.


DISPUTE OVER A LAND REGISTERED IN THE NAME OF JUST ONE SIBLING: Here is a question in my Facebook account, “Atty. Batas Mauricio”: “Atty. Batas Mauricio, I saw you in the program Bitag of Sir Ben Tulfo. That is why I messaged you right away, I wish to ask for help regarding our problem with the land where our house is standing. That was the land of my grandfather in my father side, where we have been living for 33 years. However, the tax declaration is in the name of the brother of my father. I am here in HK, when I learned that the land had already been titled in the name of the brother of my father. Do we still have any right over the land?”

Here is the answer of the LAWYERS IN THE LIGHT (Lawyers Instructed on Godliness, Humility, and Truth): It all depends. If the land was declared in the name of the brother of your father because indeed the brother truly owned the land, then only the brother and his own family have the right over the property. And because they do have the right over the land, they likewise have the right to have it titled in their names.

On the other hand, if the land was simply recorded in the name of the brother but was intended to be continually owned in common by all the children of the original owner, all the children shall be recognized as co-owners who have the same rights over the property. This would mean that any co-owner, any of the brothers or their heirs, can still run after the land even if it has already been titled in the name of just one brother.
