Leila Lopez from Angola is Miss Universe 2011. She is a black beauty. Black is beautiful. This is what my hubby would always tell me, since he too is on the dark side.

I was stuck on our television set during the competition of the Miss Universe 2011. Our own Miss Philippines, Shamcey Supsup,  did splendidly, and she deserves to win the title as Miss Universe. We don’t know how the results turned out.  She had the highest score on the automated scoring computer that showed she excelled in all physical aspects, and was popular too. But since the beauty contest is over, we have to make do and be contented with our beautiful Shamcey’s fate.

It shows during the question and answer portion, she is a person of high moral character. She was asked if she would change her religious belief for the man she loves, she said she will not change her religion to marry the man she loves, because of her principles and beliefs, and that, if the man loves her, he will have to love her religion too. I think the lady judge didn’t like her answer and gave her a low score  and I guess majority of the members of the panel of judges especially the ladies, except for Lea Salonga, are liberated women.

However, coveting the third place in the Miss Universe Beauty contest is  already very prestigious, and we are proud of her.
