LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring...” (Proverbs 27:1, the Holy Bible).

HEARING THE WORD OF GOD, A LIFE AND DEATH EXPERIENCE: Just what exactly happens when someone hears the Word of God—or the chapters and verses from the Bible—maybe impossible to determine right away, but to someone who owns cellphone number 09322701764 from Pampanga, it can spell the difference between life and death.

The cellphone owner is a listener of mine over there at GV AM, 792 khz. on the radio dial, a radio station broadcasting from Central Luzon and where I have a daily program, from 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. He (or she, I really don’t know) sent me a text message morning of Wednesday, October 5, 2011, after my program.

WORD OF GOD PREVENTS SUICIDE: In gist, the text message thanked me that in my program, the Word of God is highlighted side by side with discussions on Philippine laws, and although at first this style of broadcasting irritated the cellphone owner, he (or she) got around to liking it, and, during one moment that the owner was near to committing suicide, he or she remembered my admonitions on reading the Bible to draw strength from God.

At that moment, the cellphone owner got the Bible, read it, and instantly felt the Spirit of God coming over to him (or her), driving away the despondency and giving him (or her) the inspiration to go on. Salamat sa Diyos sa ngalan ni Jesus!!!

INEVITABLE JUDGMENT DAY FOR ARROYOS: These days, and the days to come, must be very scary for the Arroyo family. Not only are party list Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo and wife Angela already facing court cases for tax evasion, but that former President Arroyo and former First Gentleman Miguel Arroyo are now facing the possibility of being imprisoned indefinitely for poll fraud.

Once the undisputed wielders of power in Philippine politics, they are now being treated like garbage and being held accountable for their perceived misdeeds. Indeed, we must all account for everything that we have done, whether good or bad, whether done secretly or in public. This is an inevitable truth.

That is what Ecclesiastes 12:14 of the Holy Bible says: “For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” Therefore, it will do well for everyone, especially those in power, to remember there is no escaping judgment day.

GOD’S CURSES, PART XVI: Here is the last part of Deuteronomy 28:15-68, listing God’s curses on a people no longer listening to Him and no longer obeying His commands: “… You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. In the morning you will say, `If only it were evening!’ and in the evening, `If only it were morning!’—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.

“The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you…”
