OBAMA PARTY ROUT, ALREADY EXPECTED TWO YEARS AGO: The rout that candidates from the Democratic Party of US President Barack Obama suffered in the hands of American voters Tuesday, November 3, 2010, is something that I expected to happen as early as two years ago, when Obama was inaugurated as the 44th American, and first Black, president.

I wrote an article indicating my great worry then that Obama’s presidency will also fail, simply because in his speech celebrating his victory he failed to mention what God’s role will be in his administration. Here is that article, written November 6, 2008:

WORRIES ABOUT OBAMA VICTORY SPEECH: “Something worries me about the victory speech of US President-Elect Barack Obama. Something is telling me that there is something wrong somewhere, even if the whole word is now toasting his impressive win over his rival, John McCain.  There is something terribly missing in that speech.

“While Obama tried hard to impart a ray of hope to Americans and to all the peoples of the world with his invocation of what he called as the `timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people’, the phrase `yes, we can’, it is clear to me his presidency likewise may not be able to do something to solve the ills and maladies pervading his country, and for which very reason he was elected president.
“Why? I don’t know if you noticed, but, whether wittingly or unwittingly, or whether it is brought about by the giddiness of victory or by some other factor, the 44th President of the United States of America, the one single individual who can make a difference in putting an end to the sufferings of all the world, glaringly failed to include God in his plan of governance.

GOD HAS NO PART IN OBAMA GOV’T: “I listened intently to that speech while Obama was delivering it for the first time, live via CNN, and I read and re-read it again from the Internet thereafter, but, indeed, except for the usual mandatory invocation of God’s blessings upon America at the end of the speech, God seems not to have any part at all in how Obama will discharge his duties and responsibilities at the White House come January 2009.

“And this is where my misgivings come in. The undeniable fact is that recent events have shown that, contrary to Obama’s `yes we can’ mantra, Americans no longer `can’, as it were.

“See how America has become powerless to solve, by itself, the economic meltdown that has hit its oldest banks and other businesses, requiring it to accept the humiliation of  seeking the help of China, Russia and Middle East Countries?

ELECTIONS 2008 ANOTHER USELESS EXERCISE: “At this point in its history, something is telling the United States and all Americans that, unlike in the past, they no longer can, by themselves, solve the ills of their nation, and that they have to turn to the true solution of all its woes, which is God.

“If America, under Obama, does not realize this immutable truth that without God Americans can do nothing, Elections 2008 would have been another useless exercise.”
