LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour’…” (Job 37:5-6, the Holy Bible).

COA MUST PROBE ALL PCGG ACTIVITIES: I hope the Commission on Audit (COA) will not just concentrate its investigations into the status of some $50.481 million in forfeited Marcos wealth funds supposedly deposited in an escrow account at the Philippine National Bank (PNP) by the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

The COA under Chairperson Grace Pulido Tan must also look into the status of all the money and properties which the PCGG received through the years. There must now be an accounting of what the PCGG really acquired from the time it was created during the first Aquino presidency, and what happened to all those money and properties, which could be in billions and billions of pesos.

BIBLICAL REMINDER FOR MANNY PACQUIAO: Here is a Biblical reminder for Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao as he faces Juan Manuel Marquez for their third rematch on Sunday, taken from James 4:13-15: “Now listen, you who say, `Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’

“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, `If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that’...” Manny must be reminded everything comes from the Lord.

HELL EXISTS, NEWS STORY SHOWS: In an Internet e-group, there is a raging debate about the existence or non-existence of hell. But God is good, and God is great, for He has shown that there is hell, and a news story from the Philippine Daily Inquirer, published in its June 24, 2010 issue, confirms this.

This is the story: “Astronomers glimpse distant planet’s lethal moods, Agence France-Presse. June 24, 2010. PARIS—A planet named after ancient Egypt’s Lord of the Dead is a place where human beings would be simultaneously boiled, poisoned and ripped apart by superstorms, astronomers reported on Wednesday.

“The distant world, orbiting a bright star in the constellation of Pegasus 150 light years from Earth, is known officially as HD 209458b, but has been nicknamed Osiris, the god of the Egyptian underworld. The label is especially fitting, given insights into the planet’s climate system reported in the science journal Nature…”
